Moniteau County R.1 Leadership Qualities Survey

The Board of Education is seeking patron and staff input in selecting the next superintendent for the Moniteau Co. R-I School district. An online survey which lists leadership qualities of a superintendent is provided. Community and staff persons can indicate the most desired leadership qualities they perceive the new superintendent should have for our district. The results of this survey will be used by the BOE and consultants in seeking and screening applicants as well as for the development of the interview content. Mrs. Shewmake Selected as McDonald's Outstanding Educator Winner!!

Mrs. Jamie Shewmake, California Elementary's Pre-Kindergarten Teacher and Parent's As Teachers Educator, was selected as one of the 2021 McDonald's Outstanding Educators from a pool of 425 teachers! Winners were selected by several mid-Missouri McDonald's operators. These teachers were recognized for their "perseverance and loyalty, showing up and giving their all day after day to make sure students thrive". This is the second year that McDonald's has presented this award. Congratulations Mrs. Shewmake!!!

Sectional Volleyball Tickets

There will be NO cash entry into the Sectional Volleyball game, Thursday, October 28, 6:30pm at California High School. All tickets must be purchased digitally prior to the event. Click on the above link to go directly to the page in order to purchase tickets.

Lake TV Broadcasting the Football Game this Friday Night - October 8

Hey Pintos Fans, if you can't make it to the game against Eldon Friday night, don't worry. The game will stream LIVE for FREE on Lake TV with the COMC Pre-Game Show hitting the air at 6:40. Parking at United Methodist Church

The United Methodist Church parking lot will not be available for school parking Monday, September 20 through Friday, September 24, due to a conference at the church.

First Day of School

The first day of school for California R. 1 Schools is Tuesday, September 7. Elementary and Middle schools will begin classes at 7:50am. The High school will begin classes at 7:45am. We have missed you!!!

Middle School Open House

Open House for grades 5 through 8 will take place at the middle school on Tuesday, August 31, 5pm-7pm. Attendance at Open House is optional. Schedules and locker assignments will NOT be available at open house. The purpose of open house is so that students may visit the teachers in their classrooms. Students WILL be able to look around the building and place items in their lockers at this time.

Middle School Registration for 2021-2022 School Year

Middle School registration for the 2021-2022 school year will take place August 23, 24, 25 and 26 at the middle school. 5th and 7th grades will register on August 23, 7am-3pm and August 24, 10am-6pm. 6th and 8th grades will register on August 25, 7am-3pm and August 26, 10am-6pm. ATTENDANCE AT REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. Students and parents will complete needed paperwork and pick up schedules, which include locker assignments. Students will also pick up their Chromebooks during registration. Students WILL NOT be able to place items in their lockers or look around the building at this time. If you are unable to register in person at the scheduled time, contact the middle school at 573-796-2146 to make other arrangements.

High School Registration for 2021-2022 School Year

High School Registration will take place at the high school on the following dates: Tuesday, August 17, Last Name A-K AND Thursday, August 19, Last Name L-Z. 10th through 12th grades will need to register 4:00pm-7:00pm both days. 9th grade will have a mandatory meeting at 6:30pm both days, followed by registration and tours until 8:00pm.
